What We Do:
Two prayer Groups a week: Tuesday and Thursday nights, young men from the streets of the Bronx, come to pray the Rosary, sing praise and worship, in a candlelight setting. Often a brief Catechesis on a particular subject is given. Afterwards there is an opportunity for fellowship; relaxing with peers, conversation, and spiritual company.
Work Placement: Through generous contacts in the neighborhood, many young men who would have only a limited chance otherwise, are provided with an opportunity to work. In so doing, along with their deep spiritual understanding, they become productive members of the neighborhood, and of society, with renewed moral and ethical values.
Visit Juvenile Correction Prison Once a Week: Every Sunday, we pay a visit to the Juvenile Correction Facility. Here we provide to young people, ages 13 through 17, spiritual inspiration through lecture and conversation. The visit often ends singing spiritual songs, and always ends with Mass, always with prayer.
Food Distribution for Needy Families: Through selfless, generous gifts of others, we are able to provide food to the neediest of families.
Street Evangelization: Prayer groups in the park; distribution of Catholic literature; prayerful processions through the neighborhood; personalized interaction with those on the streets.
